AC-262,536: A Promising Step Forward to Improve Testosterone Therapies

With all the advancements that we have achieved in the field of medical science these days, it’s not that uncommon to hear of new and promising discoveries that can be used for the betterment of the human physiology in a daily basis.

One of these discoveries is AC-262,536, a SARM compound that is seen to help improve current testosterone therapies.

So What are SARMs Anyway?

At its simplest, selective androgen receptor modulators or SARMs – the group of compounds AC-262,536 belongs to – basically set off the same effects as testosterone when introduced in the body, particularly in the growth and development of muscle mass. They are synthetic ligands that mimic the benefits of using anabolic steroids.

But here’s where things get interesting. Unlike their anabolic steroid counterparts, SARMs don’t cause harsh and adverse side effects like sailing blood pressure levels, bad cholesterol spikes, “bitch tits” or gynecomastia, irregularities in hair growth as well as the sudden shutdown of natural testosterone production.

In short, SARMs like AC-262,536 give you the best of both worlds: you get to enjoy the benefits of anabolic steroids without going through their negative effects.

A Quick Look at AC-262,536

AC-262,536 is a type of SARM created by the biopharmaceutical company, ACADIA Pharmaceuticals, Inc., which is based in San Diego, CA, United States.

Akin to all SARMs, AC-262,536 is a non-steroidal and tissue-selective agonist to androgen receptors. Tests conducted on castrated male rats show that it has the ability to stimulate the growth of the levator ani, one the most important muscles in the pelvic musculature, and even impede the buildup of luteinizing hormone (LH) levels.

There are no proper clinical studies conducted on the effects of AC-262,536 on humans as of now. It is still considered as a research chemical in the field of medicine.

Benefits of AC-262,536

Perhaps the most significant positive effect of AC-262,536 is its ability to boost muscle growth.  Studies show that mice that were injected with this type of SARM experienced a considerable muscle growth of as much as 66% compared to the introduction of testosterone.

Other AC-262,536 benefits include helping improve the function of the hippocampus, which could stave off the onset of Alzheimer’s disease, and prevent prostate cancer. Test data reveal that this SARM can suppress the activity of dihydroxytestosterone (DHT) in the human prostate cancer cell.

However, scientists also found out that AC-262,536’s effects in keeping the prostate’s ideal size were not as strong as testosterone, approximately 14 times less when compared to the latter.

AC-262,536 Dosage

Now while AC-262,536 is still considered as a research chemical, there are already people who use it for performance and strength-enhancing purposes. It is reported that the typical dose of this SARM is about 10 to 30 milligrams per day.
